They have also created their own; the Hound Racefield series, with the intention of offering the best value on the market. They are hand made in Europe from natural rubber and include full-length uppers and flexible soles that maximise grip in all conditions. Internally, they have included a 4mm neoprene lining for extra warmth and comfort, making them ideal for use in the winter months. They are pinched around the ankle for an improved fit and additional support, making them suitable for long walks. There are two versions available, with the cheapest including a gusset to accommodate larger calves, and a strap to tighten the boot around this area. The second, on test, includes the same strap, plus a 25cm zip down the side, making them easier to take on and off. This is complimented with an internal gusset, covering the length of the zip, to keep the inside of the boots dry. They are available in sizes 2.5 – 13 making them ideal for men or women, and with the zip fully done up, the size 11s offered an approximate calf circumference measurement of 49cm. Overall, these all-rounder Wellingtons can be used for hunting, walking or standing at a peg on a pheasant shoot.
